Books Jill is the author of the text for A Portrait of New Zealand, a regular in the list of top 10 non-fiction New Zealand books and a Platinum bestseller. She has also written the text for two other New Holland publications - Coastlines of New Zealand and Landscapes of New Zealand. She was also the major contributor to the 2008 edition of the Reader’s Digest Guide to New Zealand. One of Jill’s most demanding assignments was being awarded a contract by the prestigious development agency, the Aga Khan Foundation, to produce a book outlining a successful education project carried out in rural Pakistan. This necessitated travel in one of the world’s more unstable regions, a multitude of interviews and encapsulating of everything from children’s views to complex educational philosophies. Editing and Public Relations Consultant Jill is an experienced sub-editor and has worked for many district and regional councils and other organisations editing, polishing and even producing from scratch everything from major reports to memos and tourism/promotional brochures. With a strong background in local government reporting, along with an academic background in geography and botany (she has a Bsc), Jill is able to quickly grasp the essence of an issue and efficiently and accurately produce suitable written material. |
